FLYING
Landing gear up… lie back and rest
We’ve reached a smooth velocity of
indifference and apathy…
silence falls over me
As I stare out the glass…
watching life as it floats by my window
I’m stuck here wondering why
while everyone else does just fine…
somehow I feel like I’m
FLYING

So I’ll wait here, don’t think
about me and don’t call me back
I wanted time with you,
you wanted something new to pass
your time until you find someone
or thing more interesting

And now you speak…
expecting me to stand up and smile
But somehow something feels wrong,
perhaps I’ve waited far to long.
I choose to just go on
FLYING.
